How to sew a Reversible Drawstring Bag – Video & PDF Tutorial

Fabric Bags – a great way to use your scraps and good for the environment

I have a confession: I LOVE to organize things! Whether it’s in boxes, bins, shelves, drawers or BAGS – having things in their place makes me happy.

What makes me even happier is when I can make the perfect sized bag with the fabric of my choice – or fabrics, plural, in the case of this reversible drawstring bag.

I put together a video tutorial as well as a PDF you can grab and print so you can make fun bags too!

4 Reasons I love reversible drawstring bags:

  1. They are a great way to cut down on your fabric scraps.
  2. They are quick and easy to make.
  3. They are a great project for beginning sewists – whether that’s you or you are teaching someone to sew, fabric bags are a great place to practice the basics and build confidence.
  4. Instead of wrapping paper or a paper bag that may or may not be used more than once, fabric bags can be used for so many things. They are a gift in and of themselves!
