I’ve been enamoured with these drawstring lunch bags or project sacks for a while and decided my At the Lake fabric would be fun to give it a try!Β

There are so many ways to use these!Β  Make them smaller for a young girl’s purse or use it as a round purse yourself. Pack snacks, lunch, a book and whatever you need to head to the lake for a reading escape… the possibilities are endless!

I found a blog post with a video tutorial on WhitneySews.com that made it quick and easy to complete. Click the button below to learn how to make one too.

If you make this bag or something with the At the Lake fabric and post it on social media – tag me – I love to see what people create!

Lake Themed Parker Pack

Lake Themed Parker Pack

Riley Blake, the manufacturer and distributor of my fabric lines, created and posted the CUTEST backpack (the pattern is called the Parker Pack by Sassafras Designs).

They used one of the 4 designs on the quilt panel from my At the Lake fabric along with other prints from the collection and cork for the bag straps and handles.

You can see a lot more photos on the Riley Blake Designs blog.

How to Add Pockets to a Circle Skirt

How to Add Pockets to a Circle Skirt

It’s been a LOOOOONG TIME since I sewed dresses for a little girl… so it warmed my heart and brought me back when I saw the cute dress “with pockies!” that Amanda of SewingCotton.com made for her daughter with the blue plaid from my At the Lake fabric collection.

See how easy it is to add pockets if the little girl in your life says pockets are non-negotiable as well!

If you make something with any of the At the Lake prints or panel and post it on social media – tag me – I’d love to see!
