AMAZON LINKS TO PARTY SUPPLIES I LOVE
With a little imagination and armed with basic craft and party supplies, you can transform any space into a festive celebration that will leave your guests impressed and delighted. Below are some products I love to have on hand for both party planning and crafting.
I’ve been planning parties since I was 8. My birthday is January 31st which seemed very, very far from Christmas when I was little. I can now understand my mom’s rule of “no talking about your birthday before the New Year” and her ultimate decision to just put me in charge since I was unable to follow this rule.
When my son was little his birthday parties were a creative outlet. We would pick a theme and I’d figure out how to make it happen – always on a budget. We would make our own paper maché piñatas, pin the tail on (whatever the theme was that year) and more.
My sister would enlist me to help with my niece’s parties too. While my motto is “Why buy it if you can make it yourself”, hers is “Why should I if Tara will do it and do it better?”
I love planning (or styling as I like to say) a party, sometimes even more than attending.
The joy for me is in the creative process from idea to end result. At my husband’s 60th birthday party a few guests asked if I was a party planner and could they hire me – the ultimate compliment to that DIY bash!
