Last but not least - the final quilt block for the Riley Blake Block Challenge 2026
Have you been quilting along with the Riley Blake Block Challenge for 2026? It’s a fun (and free!) annual event that starts each January and ends in May.
My block, the Kaleidoscope Star, is the 16th and final block of the year. I decided to make it using my first Batik fabric collection: Around the World – Paris, that will ship in June 2026. I love the rich colors batiks provide and how the Eiffel Towers and fleur de lis prints came together for this block.
Paris is always a YES in my book!
I went to Paris for the first time when I was 8, took my son for the first time when he was 12 and my most recent visit in 2022 with my son and his (now) wife was my husband’s first taste of Paris. No matter how many times I see the Eiffel Tower it never disappoints.
I love the art that was born in the streets of Paris, the tastes and smells of the cafés and the rich and colorful history. I tried to bring the essence of Paris to this Batik collection and hope you love it as much as I do!
