Beautiful new Quilt Block – June’s Pinwheel

As a fabric designer, one of my favorite things is to see what sewists and quilters do with my fabrics.

I was introduced to Casey of Sew Worthy Mama through a woman I met at the Missouri Star Birthday Bash – networking at it’s finest! I reach out to Casey on Instagram and the stars aligned.

She was working on a quilt block and quilt pattern for the December  blog hop of free quilt block patterns by Carolina Moore called #QuiltBlockMania. The theme for December is Barn Quilts.

I just so happened to have a Winter Barn Quilt fabric line that just came out from Riley Blake Designs so we decided to collaborate.

She told me about her plans and I sent her some fabric to use – what resulted is her free June’s Pinwheel Quilt block and (not free but worth it!) June’s Pinwheel Quilt pattern.

Try it out, and when you want to make a quilt size version, come back for the full June’s Pinwheel Quilt Pattern which features 18″ blocks, 7 sizes from pillow to king, and 2 colorways – single block repeating and alternating blocks. (When you download the FREE June’s Pinwheel Block Pattern, you’ll receive a special discount for the full Quilt Pattern! 😉)

This post from Sew Worthy Mama has lots of details about the patterns from fabric requirements to photos of tester projects.

Be sure to take a look at the free quilt block and Casey’s patterns – they are so amazing!
