Whoops!
I try really hard not to make mistakes on my patterns because I know how frustrating it can be to buy something only to have it not make sense or not work.
However – sometimes it happens and it’s a reminder that I’m human, just like everyone else.
My patterns are reviewed multiple times by myself, other quilters and sewists and a technical editor. Unfortunately there are times when things slip through the cracks.
I’ve listed errors we’ve found here. The newest patterns released is shown first and older ones further down. If you don’t see your pattern, we haven’t found an error.
Pattern Corrections
If you find an error in a pattern, PLEASE let me know so I can correct it and list it here for others. Email Me
Many thanks to the people who have let me know of issues and their helpful attitudes! When I reprint a pattern the corrections are made in the booklet but in case you have a first printing…

This is minor – yay!
p.2 bottom: A: (2) 6 ½” x 6 ½” (center squares)
B: (6 8) 3 ½” x 3 ½” (corners)
Cutting directions were correct, just the number needed for the (2) Sawtooth Stars was a typo.
p.4 “In the Starry Night Quilt, there is (1) 12 ½” x 12 ½” Twin Star block (M/N/P/Q) and (3) 9 ½” x 9 ½” Twin Star blocks (R/S/T/U).”
There are actually (3) 6 ½” x 6 ½” Twin Star blocks. The cutting and sewing directions are correct – it was just a typo in the introduction.
My apologies for a rather big mistake – on page 3, the Sawtooth Stars shouldn’t be 12 ½” x 12 ½” but 9 ½” x 9 ½”. (Not sure how that slipped through the checks)
Piece Size Changes (page 2):
A: (3) 5” x 5” (center square)
B: (10) 2 ¾” x 2 ¾” (corners)
C: (3) 5 ¾” x 5 ¾” (goose center triangle)
D: (12) 3 ¼” x 3 ¼” (goose small triangles)
Step 8: Square up each unit to 2¾” x 5”
Additional measurements you might want for more detail:
Step 13: Square to 9 ½” x 9 ½”
Step 17: … double star unit that measures 14” x 16 ¼”
Page 5: unit measurements:
– Unit 1: 21″ x 6½”
– Unit 2: 11″ x 31½”
– Unit 3: 10½” x 31½”
– Unit 4: 13″ x 12¾”
– Unit 5: 9½” x 18¾”
– Unit 6: 13″ x 6½”
– Unit 7: 22″ x 19¼”
This correction is for PRINTED PATTERNS, not digital downloads.
The printed version of this pattern was printed incorrectly and the 1” squares to Size Check are too small. (Egg on face on that!)
Click here for the PDF with all of the template pages and be sure to print AT ACTUAL SIZE and make sure the box is indeed 1” x 1”.
These corrections are for pattern purchased on Etsy BEFORE January 21, 2025. If you purchased it on or after that date the corrections have been updated on the pattern.
There were some mistakes with roof block sizes – the saving grace is that they are all ¼” smaller than they were listed in the cutting directions, so if you cut all your pieces at the beginning you won’t need new fabric but just to trim those to size.
- Block 2: roofs are correct
Block 3: C, G & J should all be: (1) 4 ½” x 2½”
M should be: (6) 2½” x 2½”
Block 4: A should be: (1) 4 ½” x 2½”
E should be: (2) 2½” x 2½”
Block 6: A, D & F should all be: (1) 4 ½” x 2½”
H should be: (6) 2½” x 2½”
Block 7: roofs are correct
- Block 2: roofs are correct
Block 8: G should be 4″ x 1″ (it’s correct on page 7 in the cutting directions)
