Easy Notebook and Crayon Holder Sewing Tutorial – Sew for Kids

In today’s tutorial, I’ll show you how to sew a practical and adorable crayon roll that also includes space for a mini notebook. Perfect for keeping kids entertained on road trips, you can make two with just a ¼ yard of fabric – making it a fun and budget-friendly project.

Growing up I LOVED art supplies and organizing things – this crayon roll ticks both of the boxes! If you are looking for no screen time activities for toddlers, coloring is a fun way to go. Each crayon gets it’s own little pocket and the holder opens and closes with hook and loop (brand name: Velcro®) so little hands can do it on their own.

Watch the video and see how easy these crayon rolls are to make.

💡 Don’t miss my tip for turning small pieces with tweezers at 4 minutes and 5 seconds.
💡 If you want to put your notepad on the right or on the left, you will learn how, starting at 10 minutes and 16 seconds.
