How to Sew a Scarf with Buttons
If you are looking for a quick & easy holiday gift, teacher gift or things to sew and sell – this Button-Up Scarf is for you. Made from 2 pieces of fabric and some buttons you can whip these out in no time.
The video below walks you through the steps using flannel from my Hello Winter collection from Riley Blake Designs. If you don’t want to do buttonholes and buttons you can substitute snaps. (That’s the beauty of sewing – you get to do what you want!)

If you have a Janome Sewing machine I have a video showing how to use the Janome automatic buttonhole foot (it’s pretty amazing!)
These scarves can be made in a variety of ways. I’ve made them with cotton quilting fabric on the outside and fleece on the inside. Or use flannel and fleece or two layers of fleece as shown in the video.
