How to Make a Big Birthday Gift Bag with Cricut or Silhouette

Santa shouldn’t be the only one to have big canvas drawstring gift bags! Why not make them for Birthdays too? You can with the Birthday Sack Designs for Crafters from Tara Reed Designs.

Decorating bags with vinyl using your Cricut or Silhouette machine are great to sell online or at craft fairs or to make an impact for those larger than life birthday gifts! (You can use the designs on smaller bags too of course!)

Here’s a quick video to show you just how easy they are to do! There are also links to get some of the supplies I used.

Most of this video has music although I do explain using the centering ruler at about the 1 min 40 sec mark. I added instructions at the bottom of the video where I’m not talking.  🎼

JUMP TO SPECIFIC TOPICS:
10 secs – Step 1: Setup your files (demo shown in Silhouette Business Edition software)
1:04 – Step 2: Cut and Weed your HTV Vinyl
1:39 – Step 3: Layout and Heat Press to your Canvas Gift Bag
